The wide valley lies along the river Cismon surrounded north-east by the majesty of the Dolomites of the "Pale di San Martino", to the west by Lagorai, theater of the Great War and to the south by "Vette Feltrine" where "Monte Pavione" stands out with its pyramidal form.
Six are countries of Primiero: Fiera, Siror, Tonadico, Transacqua, Mezzano and Imèr. Small centers but rich in charm of an ancient history and a deeply rooted tradition of hospitality.

It is the smallest town hall in Italy's land (0.15 km ²). Owes its name to the fact that since 1400 is the administrative and economic center of the whole valley Primiero. Sited at the foot of Monte Bedolè, at the confluence of the river Cismon with the stream Canali, is the ideal destination for tourists both in summer and in winter. It's the birthplace of engineer Luigi Negrelli (1799-1858), designer of the Suez Canal and initiator of many railways in Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic and the United Lombardo-Veneto.

Siror is the country further north of the valley about 1 km from Fiera di Primiero. Lies in a sunny position surrounded by thick forests in which it winds tens of paths and walks. Around the country there are several places ideal for walks and excursions: from "Prati Dismoni" to Ronzi, Petina and Polina localities (from which you can enjoy a splendid panorama of the valley Primiero).
Tonadico is the oldest village in the valley, in the past was the center of the political community Primiero with the headquarters at Palazzo Scopoli. It's strongly characterized by typical mountain architecture and the many religious frescoes. The municipality, in great measure included in the "Parco Naturale Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino, gives tourists a few natural wonders such as Val Canali and Val Venegia.
Transacqua is the most populated center of the valley. Settled on the hydrographic Cismon and Canali streams; from its position has derived the name of locations "beyond the water". Its emblem portrays an otter, the symbol of the valley from the legend of his birth, and the Lion of San Marco, the ancient symbol of the exploitation of the Venetian Republic. Navoi, Le Vale, Caltena are just some of the destinations around the village for walks and excursions.

Imèr is the first village that meets out of the gorge of Schenèr, the main access road to Primiero. The village is dominated by a side from "Monte Totoga" with the ancient church of San Silvestro, by the other from "Monte Vederna", extended plateau of meadows and woods at the foot of "Monte Pavione" (2,334 m), striking top with pyramid-shaped of "Vette Feltrine" group.
Continuing toward the north you find the village of Mezzano, the village of the valley that most characterize itself by its typical rural architecture. Keep in fact many buildings and houses of the most genuine tradition of Primiero. The ancient customs and traditions of Primiero are kept and maintained by the Group of Folklore of Mezzano, the oldest of Trentino. Important is the stadium of football and athletics, place of training of various league and soccer teams and sportly groups. Mezzano is the homeland of Richard Schweizer, one of the most important artists of the twentieth century of Trentino. Surrounding Mezzano is worth visiting the locality of "Prati di San Giovanni" with the Alpine little church built in 1512 and "Val Noana" with its wild gorges, waterfalls and its lake's barrage viewed by large meadows above.

A few kilometers from our hotel, easily accessible by free shuttle bus, Val Canali is
considered one of the most beautiful alpine valleys. At the entrance of the valley are
visible the ruins of "Castel Pietra", clinging to a large boulder erratic. The castle was
inhabited by the Welsperg family until a fire not destroyed it in the'600. A little
further ahead, near the homonym tarn at the edge of a vast meadow is visible "Villa
Welsperg", built in the '800 and recently enovated to house the headquarters of the
Natural Park Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino. Val Canali, crossed from the omonym
stream (which receives at locality Sabbionade waters of the river Pradidali), is
dominated by impressive rocky groups of south slope of the Pale di San Martino, aims
always coveted by mountaineers: the "Cima Canali" (2900 mt.), the Sasso de le Lede
(2580 mt.) and the "Cima d'Ostio" (2405 mt.).

Passo Cereda is situated a few kilometers from Fiera di Primiero at 1369 m above sea level and is an alpine pass which links the valley of Primiero and the valley of Mis and of Agordino. The pass, surrounded north by the end of the Pale di San Martino with the "Monte Dalibòl" and south by the Group of Cimonega with Piz Sagron and Sass de Mura, lies along the path of the Alta via No.2 of the Dolomites (Trekking of Legends) that connects Bressanone to Feltre. Point of departure or arrival in the summer for many mountain hiking, in winter becomes destination for lovers of cross-country ski with easy, medium and high difficulty runs over a distance of 2-3-4-5 and 7.5 km.
Going beyond Passo Cereda you arrive, in few minutes, at Sagron Mis, the municipality of Trentino farther from Trento (about 111 km). While Mis is spread out on a meadow basin on the right of the main road, Sagron is perched on a hill at the confluence of streams Mis and Pezea. The villages are located in a isolated but very suggestive basin for the imposing panorama that sweeps on the surrounding peaks of the Dolomites in a territory that is divided between two important protect areas: the Natural Park Paneveggio - Pale di San Martino and National Park of Dolomiti Bellunesi.
