Mountain biking in the Trentino Dolomites
A holiday at the Hotel Relais Orsingher is ideal for lovers of cycling, both expert and amateur, thanks to a variety of routes in fairy-tale settings. From April to October, the flat valley, the wooded, grassy slopes and the high altitude plateau offer numerous interesting itineraries.
Lovers of mountain biking have on offer over 600 km of tracks from an easy outing along the Primiero cycle path to more challenging excursions on the slopes of the Pale di San Martino, the Vette Feltrine and the Lagorai.
Many tracks are long and challenging but the charm of the views and the old mountain chalets, refuges and huts along the way offer welcome moments to stop. Mountain bikers can also test themselves on the Rampikissima, one of the most impressive courses on the Rampitur circuit.

Our suggests with mountain bike
- Cycle path route: this cycle path links all the centres of the Primiero Valley. Almost eleven kilometres long, the path starts at the Masi di Imèr on the bank of the Cismon Torrent which it follows, first on one side, then on the other. After the village of Mezzano, go across a scenic tract of woodland in the shelter of the mountain to emerge on the meadows that lead to Fiera di Primiero. In the town centre, where the Canali Torrent enters the Cismon Torrent, the path divides in two, forming a ring. The circular route passes through Transacqua and the narrow streets of Tonadico to reach Siror by way of a meadow road. At Siror, the path once again follows the Cismon Torrent until closing the loop in Fiera di Primiero.
- Percorso Rampikissima: this course is suitable for all lovers of mountain biking, even if some tracts are technically challenging. There are two possibilities: a classic route of 53 km and a marathon route of 67.2 km, with a height difference of 1270 m for the classic and 2.110 m for the marathon. On reaching Imèr from Fiera di Primiero, the route goes up to Passo della Gobbera (985 mt) and then to Bedolè (1450 m) from where it descends to the area of Dismoni (1.300 m) before going up again to Malga Crel (1.530 m), the highest point of the course. From there it descends to San Martino di Castrozza. After five kilometres the route arrives at Malga Zivertaghe from where it descends headlong to Fiera di Primiero. On reaching Tonadico, the classic route goes straight to Mezzano following the map of the valley whilst the marathon course goes up to Rifugio Caltena and then the area of Falasorni before descending to the valley.
